The sweet swinging Moose outdueled Derek the kid as another younger kid, Brett Whitehead spanked Daddy Denny in a four point skunk of the Weso's....Tuna fought off another yute, Pat Smith but old timer Merle showed he still has some bullets in his gun shooting a 40 and downing the inept Bonesy in a 3-1 win...Marky Milek & his floater Doug O. got the better of Waldo and his floater Steve Briggs for 3-1/2 points as the floaters split.....Curt Reed & Mal Needler got a 3-1 win over Fingers & Kurt.....Joey King actually had a Birdie and even bested brother Jimbo but Matt Borowiec's 40 staved off the skunk as the King's took 3.....Lippy (39) teamed with Paul Link making his first appearance of the year in a four point win over Cappy & a slumping Mixey...Mike Kwarciany (43) had a good day as he and Erik OB got all but a half from Grubby & Mikey Matecki.....The Red Warriors were not good but Jimmy D & Cabes were worse as Kenny & Keith got all 4....Andy Clemen and his floater Dave Bielski also got 3-1/2 over Snake and Jon Matecki....finally Zin & Keek got all four from Woodsy & Chris Banas....Your secretary will be in Hawaii for the next 2 weeks but will be reporting from the Island of Oahu after the Week 10 scores are scanned and e-mailed to him hopefully...Everyone have a great and safe not only July 4th but Third Ward Tournament on the 6th...Have fun, don't drink and drive !

This week's Medalists: Moose Mulivich & Tommy Zinteck who led the assault with even par 36's. Moose had 3 birdies in his round, Tommy out-dueled Coach Hummel who had 38 in the process as well. Shane was back in form with a couple of birds and a 37, same score as Lippy who skunked Snake & Tuba with partner John Kennis.....Eddie Zebulske had a 38 and nipped Sammy Smith (39) in a four point win with Cappy making his first showing of the year......Washy & son Dave got all four from Cabes & Jimmy as Dave had a 40...Jimmy King & Dotts got a sweep over Mark Milek & Daryl F, where was Tails?.....Denny Wes & Tom Z. got all four from Todd & Grubby.......Defending Champs got another 4 points, this time from Woodsy & Briggsy who subbed...Phil & Andy have only lost 1 point in 5 weeks of play....Handicaps are now changed for the next 4 weeks and are up here on the site, check em' out......Jerry Matecki is now looking for your Golf Fee for the Club Tournament coming up on July 6th if you haven't already squared up....Keek & floater Don Dowling making his Third Ward debut got a 3-1 win over Curt Reed & floater Dave Bielski who was not on his "A" game........Swi & Bones (42) got all four from Kurt & Fingers...Shane & Moose blanked Waldo & Frank....and finally we had Erik O'Bryan shooting a 41 with a 9 on #5 as he and fashion plate Big Mike toppled the Red Warriors 3-1 despite Keith Hoppel's nice 41...Kenny Zuhr shared high score of the week with Chris Cappy, crappy 51's....

Here's some highlights...FRANK & RYAN SUMI are going to YANKEE STADIUM!..Thanks to all who helped by voting, couldn't happen to a better Father-Son pair..Frank & Boomer celebrated with a 3-1/2 point win over Coach Hummel & his floater Jimmy Manno who slashed out the most strokes this week, 59....Brett & Moose blanked Dotts and Joey King...Washy & Matty took 3 from Big Mike & Erik OB...Snake & Tuba were over lubricated as Merle & Sam prevailed 3-1...Tuna and floater Doug Olewnick skunked Zin & Keek for all four...Bronco made his season debut successful as he and Phil took all but a half from Curtie & Mal...Matty Rusin & Dave Fingers got 3-1/2 from Eddie & the Mixer..Tails and Matty Milek got all four from Cabes & Jimmy D...Lip & John got 3 from Woodsy & Chris....finally the Red Warriors posted a 2-1/2 to 1-1/2 win over the kids Derek & Tommy Zinteck..Jon Matecki made his first appearance of the year and played along with a 42......Our condolences go out to member Paul Link whose Mrs., Kim lost a long bout to Cancer this past week. Shane Yanacek sobered up and sizzled to a 37 to capture Week 6 medalist honors on the Buck Course this week. His partner Brett Whitehead had the days' 2nd best score of 40, these yutes are pretty damn good! Ditto for Derek the kid who also had a 40 and fresh off his first star performance in Ellicottville over the weekend, Sammy Smith also carded a 40. It's early in the seaason but the defending champs Andy & Phil have only missed out on a half a point in three weeks, wonder if they should let the Bronco out of the barn yet?
