Kennis-Link are first to clinch Division Championship
Derek a.k.a. Deez Nutz fired a league best 36 to capture the "A" Sweeps championship as the 4 week tournament concluded last night. Moose Mulivich shared Week 17 medalist honors with an all par score card of 36 and finished 4 shots back of Derek to finish 2nd in the "A" sweeps. Meanwhile, Mixey walked away with the "B" Sweeps finishing up with a 40 and 17 shots ahead of Snake...In the division wars, John Kennis & Paul Link took 3 from Keek & Zinni to sew up a playoff spot. Jimmy King & his floater Don Dowling took the max from Jimmy D & Cabes to clinch at least a tie for their division title....Moose & Shane have a 2-1/2 pt. division lead over the defending champs Pro, Bronco & Andy as we wind into the last 2 weeks of league play after the Labor Day break. With the Sweeps now concluded, you men are free to play any nine that is open the last two weeks as lack of daylight will certainly become a factor as we move into September.

Week 16 Complete - Sweeps down to one week left
Highlights from the Doe Course....Young bucks Tommy Zinteck & Derek Wesolowski led the pack and skunked Phil & Andy sending the later team to 2nd place in the BERNAS division for the first time this year..that's because Moose & Brett collected all four from Morgoon and Curtie to snatch a 3 point lead for first place.....In a battle of Division leaders, Keek & Zinni walloped Jimmy King & Dotts for all four but the later team still leads their division by 6 points with 3 weeks left to go....Lip & John stunk up the course but Frank & Waldo were a bit skankier and lost 3...Waldo tied Tony Morgan for most swats, 55 of em'.......Jimmy D & Cabes slowed Fingers & Kurt taking all four...Joe Choboy had a 39 as he and Chris Banas chopped up Tails & Mark for all four...Tuna & Bones put the skunk coat on Coach Todd and Mikie......Sammy & Merle disposed of Big Mike & Erik as the veterans split 84 shots while the youngsters both carded fat 53's....Washy & Matty B took down the Booze Brothers Tuba & Snake for 3 ..Finally, Mixey ("don't call me Mixie") holds an insurmountable 16 stroke lead in the "B" flight of the sweeps....Either he's the biggest sandbagger of all-time of the rest of you B's really blow...you make the call! The Red Warriors did manage to get three points from Ed & Mixey as Keith Hopps was hot birding the 1st and last holes for a 39.....Doug Olewnik was the only floater or sub to card a score and holds down 2nd place in the "A" sweeps to Derek's 3 stroke lead.....

Week 15 on the Fawn - Divisional leads tighten up

With four weeks of league play left, all four divisional leads are tightening up. With the playoffs and League Championship coming up, Moose & Brett stepped up to the plate and have moved one point behind the defending champs Phil & Bronco in the JOE BERNAS division. Matty Fingers & Kurt have crept closer to Lip-Link-Kennis in the CHUCK RAMSAY division as well...Meanwhile in the sweeps, we have split into two flights as Derek Wesolowski and Doug Olewnik share the "A" lead with net 64's...In the "B" flight, Mixie would have to totally self-destruct to blow his 9 shot lead with two weeks left in the sweeps. Remember, if you miss 2 weeks you are out of the sweeps. If you play all 4 weeks, we throw out your worst score, so if you are still in it, you could still win it.....

Lucky Week 13 is in the books
Lucky we got it in after a downpour and hail in the morning but that did not deter the league a bit.
